College and Career

Career

Once you leave high school or college and you’re out on your own is when you need faith and a community of faith maybe more than ever. Our College and Career ministry gives 20 somethings a place to belong, grow and serve.

We meet as a Bible Study class on Sunday afternoons at 12:15 pm in the Family Life Center, which is the building on the North end of our campus. Here we look at scripture as aided by books and videos to help it apply to the demands of being a young adult in our world. Currently our pastor, Dr. David Breckenridge, leads us, and many times our lesson takes us even deeper in to the upcoming sermon.

On Thursday evenings we gather for fellowship and recreation to build relationships and simply have fun and laugh. Most Thursdays we meet at 7 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Basketball is a favorite, but bowling, volleyball, cards and board games are also possibilities. Some Thursdays we opt for eating out or movies or concerts. Contact the church office to be sure of Thursday plans. We can also add you to our email list, to make sure you get all updates.

We are eager to serve in our community and look forward to a new schedule of projects each fall. A retreat is also on line for the fall, and we are excited about that, too.

So do come and join us for an experience of Christian community and growth that is honest, relevant, and welcomes the doubter and believer in all of us.
