Thi Mitsamphanh

Thi - Thi - Laotian PastorIt truly was a day to remember in the life of First Laotian Baptist Church.  It was a day of celebration and praise for our new pastor who God has sent to lead the congregation as it seeks to change lives. Relatives and friends of the Mitsamphanh family came long distances to participate in the celebration.
Hubert McCommon gave a word of welcome to guests and participants. He was followed by Phongsak Panyanouvong who led the congregation in prayer. Congregational singing was led by Lynn Douangvilay and Tip Sooksan.
Rev. Aaron Pangnivong, pastor of the Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church, in Huntsville, AL., brought words of encouragement and praise for Thi as he begins his work as pastor. Special music followed. Thi’s sister, Hom, gave her testimony relating how Thi had influenced her life. It was an inspiring and uplifting message. She gave account as to how Thi would post scripture verses on the wall to learn as he worked out.
Rev. Allen Elkins, former youth minister at Eastside Baptist Church, Ft. Smith, AR., brought a moving and inspirational message.

At the close of the celebration, pastors and church leaders participated in a symbolic laying on of hands on Thi, while Rev. Dr. Carol Richardson, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, led in prayer.

Thi brings energy, enthusiasm, and interactive Bible studies to his young congregation.
