What to Expect the Rest of the Week
During the rest of the week there is more going on than can be mentioned. Our Cell Groups, small in-home adult study groups, meet on a variety of weekday evenings, in homes of church members throughout the mid-south area. Our First Baptist Day School is in session every weekday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Church committees also choose to meet on a variety of weeknights. We have space over our gym which is utilized during the week by Memphis Interfaith Hospitality Network as a day site for families looking for housing.
Other Activities during the week:
- On Thursdays and Fridays our senior adults are often times present for a Game Day on second, fourth and fifth Thursdays from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm and Triple L (Living Longer and Loving It), a Bible Study Group, at 11 am on Fridays. Both are followed by lunch.
- Our church office is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- On Tuesdays, the Rev. Rudy Howard, leads and inner city ministry known as Luke 4:18 Ministries for children and youth ages .
- On Thursday evenings, you’re likely to find our College and Career Group in the Family Life Center
